BENEFIT RAFFLE TO AID TWO CYSTIC FIBROSIS CHILDREN IN OUR AMISH COMMUNITY

 

All goods and services related to these two quilts have been entirely donated--the tops, backing, batting, and the website came from us, the handquilting was accomplished by groups of women in our Amish community. All raffle monies will go directly to Vanderbilt Childrens' Hospital to offset mounting medical bills. We are not a recognized charity for IRS purposes, so your ticket price is not tax deductible, just a group of concerned neighbors trying to lighten somewhat an oppressive financial load for two families trying to keep their chronically ill children healthy.

We offer quality, authentic Amish-made baskets from Old Order Amish families of Ethridge, Tennessee.  Our goal is to provide the highest quality basket, crafted from the finest materials, at an affordable price. Our baskets are constructed with full loops, both vertically at the handle and horizontally around the top edge of the basket. Sea grass is typically used to reinforce the basket handle, thus increasing its strength and durability. We have an extensive inventory of hand made Amish baskets available in assorted colors, styles and sizes. Visit our More Baskets page to see other inexpensive quality baskets.

Accent colors are achieved by using plant dyes. Variations of color occur due to the absorption rate of different reeds and the strength of the natural color.

Collapsible Baskets

These baskets are made from one piece of meticulously selected Oak, precision cut so the wood rests squarely on the base plate. When collapsed it makes an excellent trivet for your table or counter. As a basket, the handle is cleverly braced against the base to secure it in the open position.
